It assumes you're running a Linux distro and are playing Serious Sam via Wine.
The packages listed below are available in Debian-based distros (MX Linux specifically in my case).

- Install Needed Packages -

1) Install the following packages:
	wine
	libwine
	libwine:i386

---------------------------
- Getting the Retail Game -
---------------------------

2) Purchase Serious Sam - The Second Encounter from Good Old Games (it's really cheap): https://www.gog.com/en/game/serious_sam_the_second_encounter

- Game Installation -
---------------------

3) Download the "Offline Backup Game Installer" version

4) Run the installer: "wine setup_serious_sam_the_second_encounter_1.07_(21759).exe"

Select English

Check "Yes, I have read and accept EULA"

Click Options

Uncheck "Create desktop icon"

Set the file path of the game to your liking, or at least make note of it

- Installing & Configuring the Mod -

5) Download the Serious Sam Xbox mod from here: https://www.serioussite.ru/load/serious_sam_xbox_pc_mod_v1_0a/16-1-0-3257

6) Move "SeriousSamXbox" (directory), "SeriousSamXbox.des", "SeriousSamXbox_Readme.txt", and "SeriousSamXboxTbn.tex" to the "Mods" directory of Serious Sam - The Second Encounter's install directory

7) Navigate to the install directory and go to the directory called "Bin". Run the game: "wine SeriousSam.exe" 

8) Go to "Mods" from the main menu and select "Serious Sam: Xbox" (you'll have to do this each time you start the game - just this step though)

9) Go to Options, then Execute Addon, and select "GFX: Extreme quality"

- Screen Resolution & FOV -

10) Quit the game for now. Navigate to the install directory and go to "Mods/SeriousSamXbox/Scripts/". Open "PersistentSymbols.ini" in a text editor.
Note: these settings only take effect after you load the mod, not when the game initially starts.

11) Ctrl+f the following:

Change from 640 to 1920

persistent extern INDEX sam_iScreenSizeJ=(INDEX)480;
Change from 480 to 1080

persistent extern user FLOAT plr_fFOV=(FLOAT)90;
Change from 90 to 105

12) In the same .ini file as above, Ctrl+f the following:

Change from 1 to 0

persistent extern user INDEX inp_bMousePrecision=(INDEX)1;
Change from 1 to 0

persistent extern user INDEX inp_bFilterMouse=(INDEX)1;
Change from 1 to 0

persistent extern user FLOAT inp_fMouseSensitivity=(FLOAT)1;
Change from 1 to 0.85
